It's an ethos that Square Enix, as a company, seem to have been practicing quite a bit in the past few years, and will continue to do so for many more.
As long as fans are happy with it, though, I guess it's all good.

heres my thing about FF7
its a awsome game no doubt about that
but making more and more back story's including a remake is over kill especially when they could make newer story's to it with a finial fantasy title and attach it to ff7 in some in direct way or something of those means
i meen look at it u know they could let it go for future generations so our kids may enjoy it
buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut they wont cuz square/enix is kinda greedy with things atm XD
so theyll ruin it with more and more storys, that in the end will be beat and will either be loved or hated
ff7 fanboy/fangirl-ism needs to take a rest other wise youll burn it out for future genorations
