Because we need a thread for this series and I was surprised to realise we didn't have one already!

My fave is FFIV; that's followed by FFIX, then FFVIII.

I like almost all the ones I have played so far (III to X and XII), but I didn't like X-2.

Well...It's lucky you have the Final Fantasy guru here.

Final Fantasy I - an okay game, the fact there was no character names and a (Fairly bad) story line was pretty disappointing,As always the Sound track was amazing and the fact you had to heal by stopping at inn's SUCKED

Final Fantasy II - pretty much my opinion of one with better characters and more of a story line.(I liked it)

Final Fantasy III (DS) - HORRIBLE!

Final Fantasy VI (SNES) - Oh my god...One of the best games ever. This was an amazing Final Fantasy! They got everything right that a FF world needs,Items were brilliant,The enemies,The story line! Even the Damsel in distress! Also VI Is A personal favorite of mine,And the OST...OOF! It's amazing <333 Also the fact it introduced Summons! Which was awesome,Except they were called ' Callers ' instead of ' Summoners '
    which was pretty weird

Final Fantasy V - Again,One of the better Final Fantasy's,First game that introduced Gilgamesh! I love fighting him lol.And i liked the idea of ExDeath and all,Again with an amazing OST

Final Fantasy VI - Phew! These get better and better.VI Again was amazing,It was good there was No Set Main Character really...Sure you can blag Terra was but in a way she wasent. This was also the First Final Fantasy to feature a really long boss theme LOL, ' Dancing Mad ' I beleive it's about 12 minutes long! Very Happy Again with an amazing OST,Amazing Character line up and amazing how much in depth story each character had for a game of that time!

Final Fantasy VII - Where Sqaure made there fortune lol,I don't need to talk about this XD It's a known fact Final Fantasy VII Is the best and one of the best ALL TIME Games ever.(True gamers) Characters were cool,Even the NPC's were amazing (Turks,Sephiroth,Zack etc)
One thing i dont like about FF7 is the fact there now milking it,getting every penny they can from it (BC,CC,AC,DC etc) (And of course amazing OST's Wink)

Final Fantasy VIII - My all time Favorite FF & Game.Simply amazing. The story line was brilliant! The characters were brilliant,The idea's in the game was amazing! All the villains,Enemies etc were all really well planned,This truly was an amazing game.(Also my favorite FF OST)

Final Fantasy IX - My second favorite FF! In this one i really really liked the world map layout. The fact like most other FF's (This was the last FF to feature a world map) it was full, opposed to 7 & 8 where it was grass and a tiny little house representing a city XD,The story was brilliant,Kuja & Zidane formula worked brilliantly,It has some memorable characters and events in this game.Only downside of the top of my head...WHERE THE FRAAAK DID NECRON COME FROM!?!? Yay! We did it! We won!...Who the hell is this guy!?!?!? XD

Final Fantasy X - Again...I loved this (3rd favorite FF) i loved the way the world lived in fear from a giant monster who can fly, swim, blow the world up etc LOL It's a very religious Final Fantasy,And it brought back some classic FF Feature's (As did 9,Which had some FF7&8 music in,Brought back the original Victory Fanfare theme and had classic skins for menu's) It brought back the fact (providing you do this on simple Sphere Grid) Each character had there ' Job ' Yuna was Summoner,Lulu was the black mage etc etc Amazing Characters,Story line,Villains,Display everything...Also contains a personal favorite FF theme ' To Zanerkand ' Amazing game and OST

Final Fantasy X-2 - ...Okay battle system...

Final Fantasy XII - What a come back! After the disappointment of X-2,The world thought Sqare was out of idea's! OST Was pretty good,Despite the fact it wasent done by Nobuo Uematsu (Who left square to start his own company,Smile please.) The story was...Interesting to say the least.i liked the idea of the License grid,That was a cool idea Razz

There...a load of mini reviews for your FF Thread XD I've probably missed out a ton of things there but you got the jist.

    If only I had more money, and actually had the motivation to play, I could contribute more to this.... ^___^;;;

But yes, I love the music from this series! I've got a lot of it downloaded, and some sheet music for piano. I used to be able to play To Zanarkand, but I forgot the last part..... Chalk it up to me not playing in a LONG time! O___O;; I should start up again, because I kind of miss it.

I love final fantasy. Final Fantasy VII was the game that really got me into gaming, sure I played the odd game before but this..phoof! It just blew me away I was completely captivated by it's complexity and how different it was from every other game I've played. This was when I was about 11 and ever since then I've loved it! I own 4 - 12 and although the later ones don't really wow me as much, I still love them! However, for some reason, 12 just didn't really capture me...nothing happened!! So I kinda gave up int he middle of playing.

However, I love the characters, music, story and every other element to final fantasy...It's so great that it has ruined ever other RPG for me 'cause I can't help but compare, and lets be honest, nothing compares to Final Fantasy, especially the earlier ones!

You can download original Playstation games for the PS3, that's how I got Super Puzzle Fighter 2.

The one FF game that I've played that I absolutely loved was FF: Mystic Quest for the SNES.
