A mystery is afoot!!!
The only problem is, nobody knows what it is yet....
Brave sleuth-wanna-bes from all over set out to solve the mystery, congregating in the mysteriously mysterious Mystery Inn, where all sorts of puzzling things can and do happen. Besides the sleuths, there are also the members of the Inn's staff, and the non-sleuthing Inn guests who are inevitably roped along for the ride.
The guests are there for a vacation. The staff are there for money. The sleuths are there because of this cryptic message:
"Travel to the Mystery Inn
There you will find a task to complete
However, you will not, at first,
Know where to begin.
Questions
And answers
Will be found if you heed this note
And stay at the Mystery Inn."
The poorly rhymed note is unsigned, with no return address. Are the sleuths up for the ultimate mystery?!?!
*****
In this RP, the goal is known, and yet unknown. In other words, the actually story, setting (it's at an inn, yes, but what kind?), and goal must be thought of, developed and played out, bit by bit, by the RPers themselves, during the RP itself.
Too confusing? Drop me a PM and I'll try to explain it better.... ^___^;;;
Players are allowed minimum god-modding. For instance:
"He pulled her into the room."
But only ACTIONS such as that. Not anything like:
"He pulled her into the room. 'I found something!' He whispered.
'Really? What is it?" She asked."
No controlling people's characters this way!
With all that said, let the signing-up commence!!!

ME:
Name: Kimono (Kiki) Haverson
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Role: Sleuth
Appearance: Short, wavy, dark brown hair that falls slightly past her shoulders. Pale green eyes. No matter what she wears, she has a penchant for blending in whenever and wherever she wants.
Treasure (item\s they can't be without): reversible scarlet\black messenger bag, pocket notebook and pen.
Short bio: Kiki came by her strange name by her parents' love of the foreign and exotic. At the time of her birth they were deeply interested in Japanese culture. Her younger sister, who is still in high-school, has suffered worse than Kiki; Cha-Cha came when their parents were into ancient Mayans, and so was dubbed Chaanpal, or "baby".
Ever since childhood Kiki has been fascinated by all things involving\hinting at a mystery. A journalism major in college, Kiki has taken advantage of the summer break to come to Mystery Inn to figure out the message.

Re: Mystery Inn
Name: Shinji (Tora) Amano II
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Role: Sleuth
Appearance: 6 feet tall, thin, pale, and androgynous, strong facial features with sharp arched eyebrows and piercing jet black eyes sometimes framed by stylish black reading glasses. The smirk she often flashes at people is a clear sign of her arrogance and rebellious attitude. Her hair, short and layered, is usually spiked and styled in some outrageous punk-rock manner. She’s always changing the color of her hair, but currently half of her hair was black while the other half was brownish-blonde. She enjoys wearing masculine, and somewhat wild clothing, she rarely shows off her delicate female figure.

Treasure (items they can't be without): The Tora Book of Findings (a book that is half notebook and half sketchpad) a black pen, her father’s pocket-watch, her mothers tigers-eye necklace, her lighter (heavy smoker)
Short bio: Tora’s father is a world renowned Sleuth who’s fondest wish in life was to have one child… a son that could take his name and carry on his legacy of justice and greatness, but instead, he was given a daughter. Despite being a female, she was still given her fathers name, and as she grew older and revealed that she had a clever mind that was built for solving mysteries, her father knew that she would be a brilliant successor.
She served as an apprentice to her father for many years, and in the past four years, she has been working independently as a Sleuth… only a few short months ago, her father suffered a tragic death that she wholeheartedly believes to be murder. Having little time to mourn, all Tora could do was make sure that her mother was moved overseas to someplace safe, while she lingered behind to try and uncover this mystery, she believes that solving the mystery of the Mystery Inn could lead her to the answers she seeks.

Re: Mystery Inn
Ooh, sounds like fun. As soon as I get a free night I'll sign up for this, post in the Circus, and get X-Men started.

Re: Mystery Inn
I gather nobody's still interested in this? Or too busy for it, anyway?

I'm still interested in this RP... in fact, I'm just dying to see where this one goes. I may not have a ton of time, but I'd definitely do my best to keep a active role.
