Just to post a list of updates for people.

The date now is 23rd February for me, and I have just implemented a few things.

Quick reply Box

Forum Birthday System

Zodiac signs (which you can see in people's mini-profiles by every post, just hover over the images to see what they are)

Friends/Foes System (Add friends for quick access to your list of people you most interact with. Or make a member a foe and block all incoming PMs from them and partially see their posts. NOTE: You cannot make a foe of a moderator or admin)

I'll add more to the list when I think of them/add them to the forum.

This is a new thing I am trying.

When you either use fast reply or the normal reply, you will be able to see what your post looks like, without having to go to preview. In other words, you can bolden some text with the bold button, and instead of seeing the "bold tag", the text in the editor actually becomes bold. You can also see smileys in the text editor now. Smile (if you click the smiley button, not by typing a smiley code).

This is called a WYSIWYG text editor (What You See Is What You Get).

Also, I have noticed that the Youtube codes are temperamental. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

With Pyro's help, I was able to find out how to use them again. He suggested a different code than the youtube tags and it worked!

So if people would like to embed youtube videos into their posts at any time, please use the following code:

Code:
[flash(425,350)]http://URL of the video[/flash]

Three tags here.. Click on the spoiler tag to show the text:

Spoiler:
This is some spoiler text.

Some cool effects with the scroll tag.

And some vertical scrolling with the updown tag.

None of the flash tags are working anymore. Usually any of these will work:
Code:

[youtube]http://URL of the video[/youtube]

[flash(425,350)]http://URL of the video[/flash]

[embed-flash(425,350)]http://URL of the video[/embed-flash]

Hopefully we'll figure out what's wrong with them.

Also, when you disable the WYSIWYG text editor, there is no option to re-enable it. I disabled mine through a button while I was posting a reply. Most of the time I like to use bbCode, but when I make RP posts I like the WYSIWYG text editor. Where's the toggle to turn it back on?

EDIT: I found a way around the youtube/flash tags. Go To Profile > Preferences and set 'Always allow HTML :' to 'Yes'. When you watch a video on youtube it will give you an embed code. Simply copy and paste this into your post.

Here's a sample code:

Code:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="URL of Youtube vid"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="URL of Youtube vid" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
