Hey guys.

Well if you haven't notic'd, there's a ChatBox at the bottom of the home page now. This is a new feature of the forums until we discover problems with it (as we have had it once before, many months ago, but it glitched).

As far as I can tell, all you need to do is click the "Log In" link and you will automatically be entered into the chat (provided you are logged into the forums).

Edit: One thing to note is that if, like me, the chat seems too large for you, at the top there, you can drag the chat from the bottom right corner to change the height. Any feedback on this new feature would be appreciated; the chat, not the resizing.. lol.

I like it, except for the fact that it kicks you if you're inactive for five minutes.... That part's kind of annoying. ^___^;; Other than that, it's fun.

I like it, although it's annoying how your trying to read whats going on and it keeps jumping to the bottom =/

I've noticed that the chat logs for the chat box at the bottom of the main page are being deleted. Why is this done? It's a public chat box for the members, so basically it's a random talk thread that tells you who is online. Is this because it can only store so much backlog of text or is it to keep other members from reading convos? From what I've seen talked about in the chat box there doesn't seem anything that merits deletion, so the first suggestion seems most probable.

Just wondering what's up with that. I've learned from personal experience that's it's a good idea to keep chat logs to keep dishonest people from trying to screw you, so I may be a little paranoid when it comes to this.

Disclaimer: This is not meant to be any sort of personal problem with any of the people in charge of LC, I have my reasons for being paranoid, and they have nothing to do with any of LCs members. It just seems fishy to me when things disappear, but this place seems honest, so maybe I'm just letting past experiences get me too anal about small stuff.

Well I don't usually delete messages, although I did so last night. Last night, I deleted the message as part of a joke. I was being evil and said that once this convo was over, no one on LC would be any the wiser, regarding my evilness because I will be deleting the chat log and any proof. Then that was what I did, to go along with that.

Indeed. I've found it's a universal reason/answer to all "Why Questions".

"Why is the sky blue?"
"Because Akkarin is evil."

"Why do birds sing in the morning?"
"Because Akkarin is evil."

Etc.

I tend to wipe it after a chat has finished.
