I was rather shocked too, everything just felt so unreal, and I just didn't believe it at first, I think it took nearly an hour before it finally sunk in.
My mother and I have been watching his videos playing non-stop on TV, and my grandmother's recalling some old memories.
(Are you serious? Akky really saw him live? Lucky little.... >__>)

Re: Michael Jackson Dies
I'm not gonna rub it in. You seem to have done a good enough job of that for me.
I was deeply sadded on hearing of his death. I have been a fan of his for so many years, and was holding out hope that he would make a come back and be loved by all again. Sadly, that's no more, and some people will still have stupid opinions of him; enough that there are tossers out there making jokes and insensitive comments regarding his life and even death.
After I found out he died, I went onto Youtube and watched a vid of his Motown 25 performance of Billie Jean. The man was a legend.
RIP Michael. I'll miss you.

Re: Michael Jackson Dies
Ah, you're welcome to brag if you want to, it's really great that you were able to see him perform live, nothing else compares to seeing someone you admire do what they do best, right before your eyes. I wish I could have been as fortunate.
Oh, and speaking of people and all their stupid opinions... I had to stop watching the news, the constant coverage of his death was really sickening, so disrespectful. It doesn't take long to see who's there to pay their respects and who's there to get their 15 minutes of fame by bringing up controversial subjects of a diseased mans past. It's just shameful. They need to let him rest in peace and celebrate his legacy as an artist.

Re: Michael Jackson Dies
I can't say I was ever really into him, only song I ever really heard was Thriller, but I did recognize him for the great artist he was and forever will be. It was indeed shocking news, and really sad. Have you ever noticed how so many of the great American icons, legends, etc. die young?

Re: Michael Jackson Dies
I liked him when he was part of the Jackson 5 as a kid, but I never really liked his music. Personal preference I guess. It didn't really hit me as had as the fact that Farrah Fawcett died the same day. I liked Charlie's Angles...
