.REC

Post by Rena on Mon Jan 19, 2009 1:31 pm

A few days ago I went to a friends house with Danny (Cel), and hung out, had dinner and such. It got a bit late, the light outside dimmed so we thought, what better oppurtunity than to watch a horror film.
My friend Padam, who comes from Barcelona, had this spanish horror film called .Rec. I love subs so I was all up for watching it, but DAMN is it spooky.
Its set around a TV crew who is reporting on a fire crew for a news report called "while you sleep", they get a call from a house that is investigating the screams of an old lady who is supposedly stuck in her home.
Serious Injuries ensue and suddenly they're trapped in the building thats been quarantined by special forces.

I won't spoil it for you all, but its a brilliant film, and if you can't stand subs, try the american remake Quarantine which has been remade by Quintin Tarantino.
Its no where near as good as the original, however unlike the other remakes of japanese horrors, this remake of the spanish horror actually sticks to the original plot line and script.
I reccommend it highly and give it a 9.5/10 the .5 being for its predictability in parts.

Give it a watch and let me know what you think Smile
( can watch it free at watch-movies dot net, so you don't have to go out of yout way to get it from rental store or buy it ) ((Cel gave me permission to write that))

happy watching!

Watching it with my boyfriend probably wouldn't help much. I've watched two scary movies with him; in both he was the one doing the hiding behind me xD! He was actually hypervintilating..i was like...ookaaaay Ryan the grudge is gooone.oookaaay Ryan the scary bed monsters gone...he's so cute..and cowardly xD!

But yaa, i need to go check .REC out.
