-.- im not a horror movie buff,but every once in a while theres a decent horror movie out there,with a decent story.

orphan had a good idea going on, but it dropped the ball really quick.and for those who can deduct things quickly this movie isnt for u.

the premise of the movie as usual a family looses something, this time its a child because the fetus died inside the mother. 3 yrs later they wanted to have another kid but couldnt, so they adopted a "9 year old female child" who came from "russia".

this is were the movie goes down hill

as days go by things start to happen and the mother is being blamed for being a paranoid drunk etc etc.

a nun killed,a child hurt, the parents kids threatened,the mother finds a bible again and seen a bunch of pictures of males in it that the orphan killed, and 1 of the parents kids almost died twice,and the orphan tried to seduce the father unsuccessfully so he died.

in the end while this was all goin on u find out that the orphan was actually a dwarf that never developed and she is 33 years old and was in a psych ward in Estonia. so the mother raced back to her home after being subject to being blamed again and then tranqued.

the mother gets home is scared more terror and illusion to try and get the audience adrenalin pumping which is a failure on its own.

the mother running from the orphan which looks to have a .45 or .44 revolver in her hand mother get on top of the roof orphan never seens this and locks the window.

the parents doughter hides in the green house and the orphan follows to find her and obviously kill her the mother screams and gets shot at the child runs away getting shot at and escapes.

the mother breaks through 1 of the windows and falls on top of the orphan which looked like it killed her the mother takes the gun and runs outside with her doughter

30 seconds or so later the orphan tries to kill the mother and they both fell on top of the ice on a small but apperintly deep pond as they were fightgin the doughter picked up the revolver and tryed to accuratly shoot the orphan but misses and gets knocked down

the bullet goes throguh the ice and makes a crack the mother and orphan fall in and a stuggle happens, after a min or 2 of this the orphan get hit hard and falls in to the bottom of the pond

the end and much rejoice

unfortunatly the only rejoice i got from this movie was when the ending happened
