So this will be airing in Japan on 5th April.

Essentially, this is DBZ after exercising very hard to shed those troublesome hours of screaming, to fit into that 100-episode dress. It's also dolled itself up with some HD mascara.

Look to your nearest fansubber to bring you this one. Wink

So... what exactly is it? I'll give it a shot just because it's Dragonball and it was the first anime I ever got hooked on (before I even knew what anime was). Very Happy

It's like I said. It's a DBZ remastering. A lot of the fat has been trimmed so it's only 100 episodes long. And it's in HD.

Here's a more comprehensive list of features:

Dragonball Z Returns

The latest Jump has confirmed that the Dragonball Z series will return and will be getting a huge revamp.

- The DBZ TV series is receiving an extensive “refresh” for Japanese television airing.
- It is the 20th Anniversary of DBZ.
- More exciting by re-editing!!: The footage will be totally re-edited and HD-remastered!!
- New opening and ending!!: Both footage and songs will be renewed! The sound effects in the show will also be renewed!
- Superb seiyus will gather for the show!!: The show will be re-dubbed by the original casts!!
- Sound effects will be updated.
- It begins April 5th (3 days before the live action release for the US) at 9:00am in Japan on Fuji TV.
